Long Range Mountain Inc. is operated by Sharon Biggin. The outfit is in a remote wilderness camp in area 39 on the Great Northern Peninsula of Newfoundland. The remoteness of the camp (accessable by float plane only) insures little or no local hunting pressure, coupled with the fact that area 39 is one of the most densely populated moose & caribou areas on the island, offers our clients an extremely high success rate. Our hunting area has only been hunted since 1993 with a very limited number of animals harvested each year.
Our guides are all experienced woodsmen and native Newfoundlanders that know the hunting area well. All meals are home cooked by our camp cook and you will not leave the table hungry. We do flight change over on Sundays, weather permitting. The season normally opens on the 2nd Saturday in September and we operate for 4 to 6 weeks depending on weather & bookings.
